LABI’s PACs Announce Statewide Candidate Endorsements

November 2, 2023

Baton Rouge, LA (November 1, 2023) The four regional political action committees of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) announced endorsements of candidates in races for statewide office. After inviting all major candidates for each office and interviewing those who chose to participate, the boards of NorthPAC, EastPAC, WestPAC and SouthPAC voted to endorse the following candidates in the November 18th General Election:

· Secretary of State: Nancy Landry (R-Baton Rouge)

· Attorney General: Liz Murrill (R-Baton Rouge)

· Treasurer: Dr. John Fleming (R-Shreveport)

“This election cycle has already yielded unprecedented results for the state and the business community, cementing and enhancing gains made in 2019 where voters elected the most business-friendly legislature in Louisiana’s history. To complement the changemakers in the new legislative body, it is critical to elect statewide leaders who will champion the much-needed reforms that will allow businesses in the state to grow and prosper,” said Andree Miller, LABI’s PAC Director.

“Nancy Landry, Liz Murrill, and Dr. John Fleming are the candidates for Secretary of State, Attorney General and Treasurer that have proven records of working with Louisiana businesses to advance the principles of free enterprise. In an election cycle that has seen depressed turnout, it is imperative now more than ever that we support these candidates and emphasize to our members and business owners across the state the importance to getting out and voting for these candidates.”

Early voting begins this Friday, November 3rd and runs through next Saturday, November 11th (excluding Sunday, November 5th and Friday, November 10th). Election day is Saturday, November 18th.
