Baton Rouge, La. (June 6, 2023) –West PAC, a political action committee of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), today announced early endorsements in key races in the West PAC region. West PAC has endorsed Chance Henry (House District 42), Josh Carlson (House District 43) and Brach Myers (House District 45) for the legislative elections this fall.

“West PAC is thrilled to endorse these pro-business leaders to serve in the legislature,” said West PAC Chairman Tim Stine. “We have the utmost confidence that through our thorough evaluation these candidates are the right ones for the job. They are well equipped to foster and advance policy aimed at improving the business climate and economic opportunity for the citizens of Louisiana, and we encourage voters to support them as we continue working together to strengthen Louisiana’s economic standing in the south.”

Chance Henry is seeking to fill the House District 42 seat being vacated by Rep. John Stefanski (R-Crowley). He is currently the Acadia Parish Policy Jury President and owns an independent insurance agency in downtown Crowley. A former farmer and seafood caterer, Chance and his wife Taylor live in Mermentau Cove.

Josh Carlson is seeking the House District 43 seat being vacated by term-limited Rep. Stuart Bishop (R-Lafayette). Josh currently serves as Chairman of the Lafayette Parish Council. A small business owner, he has been in the IT industry for more than 17 years. Josh and his wife Kelly live in Lafayette.

Brach Myers is running for House District 45, which is being vacated by Rep. Jean-Paul Coussan (R-Lafayette) who is running for Senate District 23. Brach currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development for LHC Group in Lafayette, LA. Involved in numerous community organizations and non-profit groups, Brach is also a past appointee to LABI’s Emerging Leaders Council. Brach and his wife Carly live in Lafayette.
