BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) released the following statement on the death of state Sen. Larry Selders.

“LABI is deeply saddened by the passing of Sen. Larry Selders. Everyone who had the privilege of working with him during his time in the Legislature knew him as more than a public servant—he was a genuinely good man who brought decency, thoughtfulness and a sincere love for Louisiana to everything he did.

“Representing District 14 with integrity, Sen. Selders approached public service with humility and purpose. His willingness to engage with the business community in honest, productive dialogue made him a valued partner in our shared work of building a stronger Louisiana.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife, sons, legislative colleagues and constituents. May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort in the countless lives he touched.”
