As we face the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, LABI is continuing to look for innovative ways in which we can continue championing free enterprise values in a smart and safe manner. This experience has given us an opportunity to rethink our service delivery for current and future events. With so many factors related to the pandemic still unknown, the health, safety and comfort level of attendees drove the decision to convert LABI’s in-person continuing education seminar to a virtual event this fall.
Living in this new normal, yet recognizing that the show must go on, we are excited to announce The IMPACT “Continuing Education Series for Legal, Policy and Political Professionals” to replace LABI's “Beyond the Bar”. The IMPACT is a series of five virtual seminars that will occur monthly, starting in August and running through the end of the year. Each month will cover a new policy topic and showcase insightful panelists and instructors for an average of 3-4 hours giving the participants an opportunity to earn 4 CLE credits per day. Much like BTB, this is not your typical CLE, as this practical workshop has been designed to update lawyers and business professionals on the latest laws and policy impacting their industry and ultimately their bottom line. You will find each day will be filled with presentations given by leading attorneys, business professionals, and policy experts on both the state and federal levels.
Registration will open next Wednesday, August 5, and we will also be releasing the agenda for Seminar I: Legal Climate Change and the Legislature that day as well. The first seminar is scheduled for Thursday, August 27. If you are interested in sponsoring this insightful series, please contact Courtney Baker at (225) 937-7373 or email email@example.com.
