Monica Aguilera serves as Member Relations Manager, leading member recruitment, engagement and retention efforts. In this role, she helps strengthen Louisiana’s business community by building lasting relationships with corporate and community leaders across the state.

She earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Louisiana State University of Alexandria (LSUA). She later completed master’s degrees in both Business Administration and Public Administration from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.

Throughout her career, Monica has held influential leadership roles, including two terms as LSUA Student Body President, a seat on the LSU Board of Supervisors, and President of LSU’s International Student Association. Through these positions, she advocated for students, supported university initiatives, and built extensive experience in higher education leadership, governance, and federal advocacy in Washington, D.C. Monica also gained professional experience in higher education administration at LSU and the University of Louisiana System, supporting systemic postsecondary strategies.

Monica further developed her public policy and government relations expertise through a congressional internship in U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy’s Baton Rouge office and by shadowing Louisiana Sen. Beth Mizell.

Originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, Monica was raised in Forest Hill, Louisiana, and has called Baton Rouge home since 2022.
